De fans van Lewis Hamilton, en bij uitbreiding al de F1-fans, reageren verdeeld op het manoeuvre in de laatste bocht waarbij Lewis Hamilton in de laatste bocht Valtteri Bottas opnieuw liet passeren.

Bottas liet tijdens de race Hamilton voorbij op vraag van het team. Mercedes gaf de Brit heel wat ronden de kans om Kimi Raikkonen aan te vallen en te passeren. Er werd Hamilton wel verteld dat indien het team niet lukte, dat hij dan opnieuw Bottas zou moeten laten passeren.

Weinigen hadden er tegen het einde van de race nog rekening mee gehouden dat dit daadwerkelijk zou gebeuren maar in de allerlaatste bocht gebeurde het dan toch: Hamilton liet Bottas voorbij, wat ook enkele punten verschil in de titelstrijd betekende.

Een slimme zet of toch niet? Ook bij de fans zijn de meningen verdeeld.

Het mag duidelijk zijn, er zal tijdens de zomerpauze nog druk gediscussieerd worden over de GP van Hongarije en het manoeuvre van Hamilton waarbij hij Valtteri Bottas opnieuw voorbij liet.
