Met een dag vertraging is ook het Lotus F1 team beginnen testen in Jerez.

De Lotus E23 kwam te laat aan om te kunnen deelnemen aan de eerste testdag in Jerez. De wagen werd speciaal overgevlogen naar Jerez en de E23 maakte vervolgens vandaag haar officieel baandebuut.

Vandaag zit Pastor Maldonado achter het stuur van de Lotus E23, morgen neemt de Fransman Romain Grosjean het stuur van hem over.
