Extinction Rebellion heeft tijdens de GP van Groot-Brittannië geprotesteerd? Grote vraag is echter of veel F1-fans het protest gezien hebben. Er werden vier actievoerders gearresteerd.

Het was immers tijdens het begin van de formatieronde dat er op de achtergrond, waar de reclamepanelen van Pirelli hangen, plots een vlag van Extinction Rebellion ontvouwd werd. Extinction Rebellion doet wel vaker zogenaamde guerilla-acties.

Er zouden vier actievoerders gearresteerd zijn, dit nadat de security ze gegrepen had. De actievoerders zouden op zaterdagavond het circuit binnengedrongen zijn, waarna ze er de nacht doorbrachten en zich tot aan de start van de race verschuilden.
