John Surtees, 1964

John Surtees: 1964 Formula One World Champion. The British Driver wins with Ferrari! During the 1964 season, Surtees claimed 2 pole positions and followed that up with 2 wins and 6 total podiums! He also achieved 2 fastest laps. This championship was fiercely fought between Surtees, Graham Hill and Jim Clark ans came down to the final race of the season in Mexico! Hill crashed and Clark suffered an oil leak which lead to Surtees claiming the world title. In the end, Surtees won the championship by 1 point (40-39) over Graham Hill.
